The Portfolio

The Portfolio is more than a collection of artwork, graphics, designs, books, music, websites, and creative projects. It is a curated collection of a lifetime spent learning, creating, solving problems, and refusing to let circumstances define the outcome. It is the visual record of a journey that spans decades of perseverance, discovery, and growth.

Unlike The Vault, which preserves the stories, books, music, writings, personal archives, and historical record of my journey, The Portfolio showcases the visual expression of that journey. It is where ideas became images, concepts became designs, and imagination became reality.

Every piece represents more than artwork. It represents a problem solved, a lesson learned, a skill developed, a season of life, a challenge overcome, or a vision that refused to be abandoned. Some pieces were created professionally throughout my career. Others were born from personal inspiration, experimentation, or simply because I believed an idea deserved to exist. Together they document not only how my work evolved, but how I evolved as a designer, technologist, storyteller, father, husband, mentor, and lifelong student of life.

q2K is not simply a brand. It is the visual language of a life shaped by adversity, perseverance, faith, purpose, and continuous growth. It is the expression of a man who lived through some of the most transformative periods in American history—from jim crow and segregation, through the Civil Rights Movement, desegregation, reaganomics, the technology revolution, corporate leadership, retirement, and now the pursuit of building a lasting legacy.

Every design, illustration, logo, website, publication, presentation, song, photograph, and creative work displayed here is a piece of that history. These works were never created simply to decorate a page. They were created to communicate ideas, solve problems, preserve history, and inspire possibility. Some represent professional accomplishments. Others represent deeply personal milestones. Every one of them represents a chapter of my story.

From Quicksand to King tells the story of rising beyond the conditions into which I was born. My Journey to My Throne tells the story of discovering the purpose that was waiting beyond those conditions. Together they represent a lifetime of choosing growth over comfort, perseverance over excuses, purpose over circumstance, and faith over fear.

This Portfolio is not about perfection; it is about progress. It is not about fame; it is about faithfulness to the gifts Allah placed within me. It is not about selling products; it is about leaving behind evidence that I was here, that I learned, that I created, that I shared, and that I gave my very best.

Every image, every design, every project, and every creation is another page in that story.
